Search the Library before adding music to avoid duplicates. Use established names and preserve accents and diacritics.
Artists
Use the commonly recognized full name, such as Frédéric Chopin. Put dates in Birth date and Death date, and background information in Biography.
Pieces
In Title, include the key, opus or catalogue number, and nickname when they help identify the work. For example:
- Symphony No. 5 in C minor, op. 67
- Sonata in C major, K. 545
The artist is already shown separately, so leave their name out of the title.
Movements
Use the movement’s printed title without repeating the piece title. Enter its position in Movement number.
Keep personal descriptions such as “exam piece” in your My Music title, labels, or notes.
