A practice session is a record of time you spent practicing. It can include what you worked on, how long you practiced, your tempo or ratings, and anything you want to remember.
Saved sessions build your practice history, update your statistics, and show progress for the music items and focus areas you selected.
Record your practice
- Open Log practice from Add or the Practice screen.
- Use Start, Pause, and Resume to time your practice, or enter the duration yourself for a completed session. On mobile, select Finish to reach the session details, including when entering time manually.
- Check the duration and date, then choose a practice type.
- Select what you practiced from My Music, or leave it empty. The selected item supplies the instrument and collects the session in its history.
- Add any details you want to keep and select Save session.
Finishing the timer alone does not save a session. Reset clears the timer after confirmation.
Add useful details
- Select focus areas for the parts or goals you worked on.
- For technique practice, choose the key and variation when relevant.
- Record tempo, difficulty, and satisfaction to follow your progress.
- Add a note under Anything you want to remember?
Need a new music item? Choose Add music item while selecting what you practiced. See Add your first music item for help.
Your saved session appears in Practice and contributes to your statistics.
