Track keys for any item and use presets for common technical exercises.
Enable tracking
Turn on Track keys or Track tempo in the item’s Practice settings, or use Configure → Customize tracking while logging practice. These settings also apply to future sessions; values remain optional.
Turning a field off while logging clears it from the current draft. Previously saved sessions stay unchanged unless you edit and save them.
Use presets
When adding an item, open Connect library piece or exercise and choose Scales, Arpeggios, or Chords under Technique exercises. A personal title and instrument are optional.
Presets always offer keys and their matching variation types. You can leave either empty during practice. The preset stays fixed after saving; its My Music category and default practice type can change.
For your own exercise, such as Long tones, create an unconnected item with the Technique category.
Review practiced variations
Cadenso creates Practiced variations automatically from the keys, preset types, and focus areas saved with your sessions. Each variation includes at most one focus area.
Open a variation to see matching sessions and notes, practice it again, or view its statistics. Turning key tracking off keeps existing variations.
