An item keeps your notes, focus areas, resources, and practice history together for a piece, exercise, collection, or project.
Choose what to add
- Your own item: leave Connect library piece or exercise (optional) empty and enter a title.
- Library music: search for a piece or movement. Use its name or enter a personal title. If it is missing, add a library record first.
- Preset: choose Scales, Arpeggios, or Chords under Technique exercises for built-in practice variations.
An instrument is optional. Your notes and practice history stay private.
Choose a category
Use Category beside Title to organize My Music:
- General — collections, projects, or other material.
- Repertoire — pieces and movements.
- Technique — scales, long tones, or other technical exercises.
- Etudes — studies and études.
Any category can contain your own items or connected music. You can change it later without losing history.
Choose practice settings
- Default practice type is suggested for new sessions and can be changed for each session. It is independent of the item’s category.
- Track keys and Track tempo make these optional fields available during practice. Tempo starts enabled; presets always offer Keys.
Changing defaults or tracking leaves saved sessions unchanged. See presets, keys, and variations or create your item.
