Create and manage focus areas

Organize smaller parts or goals under an item and connect notes or practice when useful.

Focus areas are smaller parts or goals within an item in My Music, such as a passage, measure range, or articulation goal. They keep related notes and practice together.

Add a focus area

  1. Open the item and choose Focus areas → Add focus area.
  2. Enter a title and any optional details. Use whole numbers for measures.
  3. Save the focus area.

Titles must be unique within the item, including archived focus areas.

Manage focus areas

Choose Reorder, use the arrow controls, then Save order to arrange focus areas. Reset order restores creation order.

Open a focus area to practice it, review its history and notes, or edit it. In Notes, choose All, Focus area, or Sessions to filter related notes.

Archive a focus area to hide it from active selection while keeping its history. View or restore it from the parent item’s Archived focus areas.
