My Music

Archive, restore, or delete My Music items

Hide inactive work, restore it later, or permanently remove it while keeping practice history.

Open in Cadenso

Archive an item in My Music when you no longer want it in your regular workspace but want to keep its information, notes, and history.

Archive an item

  1. Open the item in My Music.
  2. Open its actions menu.
  3. Select Archive and confirm.

The archived item becomes read-only. Its practice logs, notes, focus areas, media links, and statistics are preserved.

An archived technique keeps its instrument and category connection reserved. An archived repertoire item keeps its history, but another active item may use the same Library connection; Cadenso reports that conflict if you later restore it.

View or restore archived items

  1. Open My Music.
  2. Open the More menu and select Archived items. The menu is shown only when archived items exist.
  3. Choose an archived item.
  4. Open its actions and select Restore.

Cadenso warns you that the item is archived and asks you to confirm before restoring it. Restoring makes it active and editable again.

Focus areas can be archived separately. Open the parent item’s Archived focus areas to view or restore them.

Permanently delete an archived item

  1. Open the item from Archived items.
  2. Open its actions menu.
  3. Select Delete permanently and review the confirmation.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

The item, its focus areas, direct notes, label assignments, media links, and saved settings are permanently deleted. Existing practice logs and notes saved on those sessions remain in your history, but they are no longer linked to the deleted item or its focus areas. This action cannot be undone.

You can permanently delete an archived focus area in the same way from its archived detail. Its direct notes and links to practice logs are removed, while the practice logs and their session notes remain.
